Phone House is a specialist mobile-telephony retail chain that operates as a multi-operator store in high-footfall locations. It sells smartphones, SIM cards and contract plans from competing carriers, accessories and wearables, plus device repairs, insurance and trade-in. Its distinctive angle is independence: unlike a single-carrier store, it compares and sells plans from all the major operators side by side, so staff act as impartial advisors who match the customer to the best tariff and handset. On top of that comes a growing layer of services for the person and the home.

In the franchise model, HQ supplies the brand, the store concept and fit-out specification, and supplier and carrier agreements, so the franchisee inherits buying power and multi-operator commission contracts they could never negotiate alone. It also provides the product catalogue and pricing, a central back-office, POS and e-commerce platform that extends the store's reach online, marketing campaigns and merchandising, plus initial and continuous staff training and periodic in-person visits where a field manager reviews the store's numbers and agrees an improvement plan. The franchisee provides the premises, the working capital and stock, hires and motivates the sales team, runs day-to-day operations and local customer service, and delivers the sales and service targets.
