Mr. Bricolage

Mr. Bricolage is a French-rooted retail banner for home improvement, DIY and garden, built as a cooperative-style grouping of independent entrepreneur-merchants (the so-called „adhérents“). What sets it apart is its deliberate positioning as the neighborhood, advice-led alternative to impersonal big-box DIY hypermarkets: smaller, community-anchored stores where the owner is a hands-on local merchant on the shop floor. Members also co-own a share of the group's capital, giving them a real voice in the network rather than a purely top-down relationship like a conventional franchise.

Headquarters gives you an established brand, a centralized purchasing and supply structure that grants you buying power a standalone shop could never reach alone, a structured candidate journey (a multi-step recruitment, in-store onboarding and professional training in retail, management and product expertise, accompaniment by a more experienced member and pre-opening assistance), private-label and assortment frameworks, store appearance and format standards, marketing, IT and online sales, and ongoing field support. You own and run your store with genuine day-to-day autonomy: you secure and fit out the premises, hire and lead the team, manage local stock, hold pricing latitude, run local marketing and customer service, and carry the commercial risk of your unit. However, the network is spread only across France and a few other countries — it has no stores in Czechia or Slovakia and does not list these markets as targets, so negotiations would go through the French headquarters.
