Stripe Tax

Stripe Tax is a tax add-on from Stripe, one of the world's largest payment platforms. It's built for online businesses, e-shops and especially SaaS companies that sell digital products or services to customers in multiple countries and want VAT and sales tax handled automatically.

It works by hooking into your Stripe payments and determining the correct tax rate based on the customer's location and product type. It monitors the thresholds at which a registration obligation arises, validates tax IDs for business customers, and applies reverse charge on cross-border B2B transactions. It adds exactly the right amount of tax in real time.
