Speed Queen

Speed Queen is a self-service laundromat concept from a long-established American maker of commercial laundry machines. It is a fully automated, cashless, staff-free store placed in densely populated urban neighbourhoods, near shopping centres, student districts and rental-heavy areas. Customers wash and dry their laundry themselves, pay by card or app, and the whole operation runs seven days a week with nobody on site.

In Europe the model works as a licensed store partnership, not a classic franchise with fees. The head office or national representative supplies a complete turnkey package: catchment, demographic and footfall analysis, site-selection guidance, store design and configuration according to your budget, machine selection, supply and installation, uniform look, payment and monitoring technology, calculation of the store's potential, and marketing support at opening and beyond. The operator provides the premises lease, the capital (often part-financed through a bank or leasing), day-to-day oversight and local promotion. Crucially, there is no entry fee and no ongoing royalty fees from turnover, and the operator keeps full ownership and all of the revenue. The brand has representation in Czechia, Slovakia and Poland, where laundromats have been operating for years.
