La Donuteria

La Donuteria is a chain of small venues built entirely around hand-made gourmet donuts and specialty coffee. The donuts aren't decorated out of sight — glazes, toppings, and fillings are finished right at the counter, so the customer picks from a colorful display case and often watches their piece come together. The donuts are prepared fresh every day and most of them are vegan, while the brand has its coffee roasted in Italy. The concept started in London and has grown to dozens of venues across Europe and beyond; it differs from an ordinary patisserie by leaning on experience and visuals: here a donut is both a dessert and a reason to pull out a phone and photograph it.

As a franchisee you get a license to the brand, a proven concept, and the parent company's know-how — recipes, decorating techniques, operating manuals and training videos, several days of on-site training, help with the opening, and ongoing support from an assigned development manager. You source the ingredients and equipment yourself according to recommended suppliers and prescribed specifications. What stays on you is the premises and its fit-out, hiring and training the team, daily operations, and local promotion. It's closer to 'turn-key' in what makes the product the product (recipes and brand), but it's by no means hands-off — the location, the people, and the daily craft at the counter are your responsibility.
