City Sightseeing

City Sightseeing is a globally widespread open-top, double-decker hop-on hop-off city tour brand, instantly identifiable by its bright red livery and graffiti-style graphics. A passenger buys one ticket and can board and alight all day at fixed stops near a city's major landmarks, with multilingual recorded commentary on board. What's distinctive is that it turned a generic sightseeing-bus service into a single consumer brand sold through one shared booking platform, so a traveler recognizes and trusts the product across dozens of unrelated cities on almost all continents.

The network grows by signing independent local operators rather than by the parent building every fleet itself. A franchisee is typically an existing local bus operator that brings the brand to their city, an operator converting a conventional tour into the format, or a new start-up entering the route. Headquarters (the brand company) provides the recognized brand and red-livery standards, the central global booking website that sells the tours, connection to a network of travel agencies, international marketing, quality and safety monitoring, and negotiated relationships with specialist suppliers. The local operator supplies and runs the buses and drivers, designs the route and stops, secures local permits and a depot, hires and trains staff, and handles day-to-day on-street operations and local sales. In Czechia, the brand operates in Prague under a local operator; there is no representation in Slovakia.
