Leonardo AI is a generative platform for creating images, illustrations and visual assets from a text prompt. It's built by the Australian company of the same name (now part of the Canva group) and is used mainly by content creators, marketers, game designers and small business owners who need original graphics but lack the budget or time for a studio.

The principle is simple: you write a description of what you want to see (a prompt), pick a style or model, and Leonardo generates several variations of the image in moments. You can also upload your own reference photo as a base, set the aspect ratio, steer the composition with pose and color controls, and fine-tune the result right in the editor.
