Cursor

Cursor is a code editor built from the ground up around artificial intelligence, made by the company Anysphere. It's based on the familiar VS Code environment, so you can start instantly, but on top of that it has a deeply built-in AI assistant that understands your entire codebase. It suits both experienced developers who want to speed up everyday work and beginners and so-called vibe coding enthusiasts who want to build apps with AI's help.

It works like this: you write in plain language what you want, and Cursor writes, edits or fixes the code across multiple files accordingly. It can suggest completions as you type (Tab), answer questions about the project thanks to understanding the whole context, and in agent mode it can independently plan and carry out a larger task. You then calmly review and approve the changes.
