Silent retreat for tech founders (offline retreats for burned-out founders)
Weekly offline retreats without electronics specifically designed for burned-out founders, with meditation programme and expert facilitation.

You organise 5-10 day retreats in isolated destinations (mountain lodges Lake District, Scottish Highlands, Cornish coast, eco-farms in Wales). Participants surrender phones and laptops upon arrival, return 7-10 days without digital contact. Programme: morning meditations (vipassana or Zen tradition), nature walks, breathwork, somatic experiencing, free time, evening reflections. Group 6-12 founders. Facilitator team: ex-tech executive (who personally went through burnout), certified meditation teacher (10+ years practice), somatic coach for physical release of chronic stress.
Surveys of startup founders repeatedly show that a substantial share of Series A-C founders have clinical signs of burnout, a significant portion take antidepressants or anxiolytics, and some had suicidal ideation in the past year. This is a silent crisis destroying the tech ecosystem โ and classic corporate wellness retreats (yoga, smoothies, golf) don't work here because they don't address the root cause.
๐ฅMost founders show signs of burnout and classic wellness doesn't heal them
According to available founder mental-health studies (e.g. First Round Capital Founder Mental Health Study), tech founders have a markedly higher burnout rate than the general population. Classic wellness (gym membership, talking therapy, golf retreats) fails because it doesn't address deep nervous system dysregulation. Specifically designed silent retreats with body-based modalities (breathwork, somatic experiencing) tend, per trauma research (Bessel van der Kolk), to be more effective than classic therapy alone.
