Sjölin

Sjölin is a Danish seller of made-to-measure men's suits and shirts, built on a showroom model. The customer doesn't walk into a classic store stacked with off-the-rack pieces — they come into a cozy showroom where they get measured at ease, pick a fabric and a cut, and then have the suit made exactly to their body. It differs from an ordinary menswear store in that nothing is sold 'off the shelf': every piece is created to order after a consultation, so the weight isn't in stock on a rack but in the measuring, the advice, and the personal approach.

As a franchisee you get a license to the brand, training in measuring and in the ordering procedure, help finding and furnishing a showroom, pre-negotiated supplier pricing, and ongoing support by phone and in-person visits, plus marketing assets and central brand campaigns. What stays on you is the showroom itself and its fit-out, winning and serving customers, daily operations, and building a local network of contacts. It's a 'light to launch' model — a showroom needs less floor space and almost nothing sits in stock, because everything is made only to order.
